Stylish New-Build Leeds
Having met at the Harrogate Self Build Renovation Show, the Harvey family wanted an easy to use AV and lighting system, that would be available to the whole family to enhance the surroundings of their contemporary new-build property.
Within this new build house Clearly Automated could really flex its advanced lighting design muscles. The clients were keen to hide as many of the lighting fixtures and fittings as possible. They wanted it to complement the feel of their home, by highlighting key architectural features, not by being the feature itself. Extensive use was made of ceiling coffers, providing a diffuse light which serves to illuminate and soften the rooms at the same time. This concept was taken a stage further in the master bedroom, where concealed lighting was installed under the raised dais on which the bed is situated, creating a striking impression of grandeur.
On the dedicated hardwired broadband network, installed by Clearly Automated throughout the house, sits a distributed audio and video system. Hidden servers provide all the entertainment the family could want, be it in the dedicated media room, the bar, bedrooms, formal living room, hallways and landings, or kitchen.
Every element of this whole house automation system, including the CCTV system is iPad controlled, fulfilling the desire of the Harveys to have a comprehensive installation that doesn’t require a degree in electronics to operate it!
