Harrogate Townhouse

See the home automation we provided during the renovation and extension of a Harrogate townhouse.

About the project

Working closely with architects Wildblood and Macdonald and Simpson Builders of York, we have transformed a Harrogate townhouse by a combination of renovation and excavation, creating additional space to include 3 additional bedrooms, a wine cellar, boot room and shower.

The Brief

The client brief was to have a seamlessly integrated system controlling lighting, blinds, audio visual distribution, heating control, intercom CCTV and security. The system designed had to be user friendly for the whole family.

The Build

The comprehensive renovation allowed the opportunity to integrate technologies throughout the property. The control system that we chose to overlay/integrate all the required functionalities was Crestron Custom. This provided the family with an easy-to-use app and touch screen system to control the home and mirror their lifestyle requirements.

The results

As is usual on a project of this size, the collaboration with the architect and builder was absolutely pivotal and it was the reason that client satisfaction levels are so high. The result was a beautifully modernised, fully functioning townhouse overlooking the famous Stray in Harrogate, that the client is exceptionally proud of.

Highlights include the Bang and Olufson surround sound and T.V. in the lounge which has become a favourite space for the family to congregate and the choice and positioning of the speakers in all the key areas inside the home and externally for entertaining in the garden.

The home security was a major priority with an easy-to-use system allowing monitoring both within the home and remotely.

What the client said
