About the project
At a Cotswolds Country Retreat, we created the ultimate indoor/outdoor space, featuring a media/games room with an automated cinema screen and blinds, a gym with a state-of-the-art sound system and a party pool area with incredible sound quality and lighting control.
The Brief
The client’s instruction was very clear: An unparalleled indoor/outdoor space where the family could come together and truly relax. The family outdoor space around the pool had a requirement for music and lighting control to enhance the mood. The client then wanted the family to enjoy the media/cinema room brought to life at the touch of a button. Essentially a chilled out alfresco seating area which could be ramped up into party vibes or a relaxed family trip to the cinema.
The Build
This was a very high-end build which made detailed planning essential.
The outdoor audio features the Sonance Garden Series 8.1 system, Sonance Amp DSP2-150-MKII with audio source Sonos Port, which was chosen for the sound quality and resilience. The atmosphere was augmented by the lighting control where we chose the very reliable Lutron Homeworks QS.
In the gym and the bar area, we fitted the Anthony Gallo Speakers and Subs with Sonos Ports. The media room features the Sony VPL-VW290ES Projector, Artcoustic Speakers 7.2 with RTI Control and the Yamaha RX-A4A72 Amp.

The results
Collaboration with the other trades professionals was essential to complete the project seamlessly on time and on budget.
The sound systems we have configured both externally and internally in the bar area and the gym sound awesome and the lighting control and automated blinds in the media room give it a total wow factor. All are collaborated to work seamlessly together for the cinematic experience.
